We had a brief afternoon trip out to Willingham Woods. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a walk around the woods (pram suitable) and saw some ducks. The kids loved running about in the trees and you could see there’d been den building going on there. Near the car park there is an area with a tyre swing and a sandpit (make sure they are wearing old clothes!).

After a couple of days in it was nice to get out in nature and it really encouraged the children to play creatively which was lovely to see. They didn’t want to leave! We will definitely go again and for a longer trip next time with a picnic. There is a shop selling drinks and ice creams so that was our only expense (£9 for 4 ice creams). There were free leaflets near the car park showing you different walks to do.
