It was a gorgeous day for a trip to Hubbard Hills. It’s a beautiful area with space to have a walk, run around and play games like football. There is a car park there but this time we walked down from the town (Louth) and it only took about 15 minutes coming in through Westgate fields. The walk was pram suitable. Since it was a hot day there were children having a paddle in the stream so you might want to bring a towel if you are happy for your children to do this. We gave it a miss this time!

There is also a play park and a shop selling drinks and ice creams which we didn’t use but have bought ice creams in the past. There is a toilet here too. The great thing about a trip here is it’s free. If you come over lunch time it’s a lovely place for a picnic. We actually walked back to Louth afterwards and went for tea at the Weatherspoons pub The Joseph Morton, which was good value for money as usual. You could combine Hubbard Hills with a walk around Louth which is worth a visit if you have the time.
