Since we currently have a membership to Normanby Hall, I took our youngest here with friends this week. We started off by playing in the playground which was so nice and quiet I got some pictures so you can see what’s there. The swing, sandpit and train are the current favourites! After this we popped into the gift shop which I haven’t been in before. They sell various gifts and toys and bags of duck food which we purchased. We then went through to the café for coffees and lunch. After we were fed we fed the ducks – there were a lot of them and they were hungry! The toddlers loved this.

We went for a walk through the woods after this and it turns out there is plenty at Normanby Hall that I didn’t realise on previous visits! This time we found the Cottage in the Wood which was a little house made of wood to play in. My little one loved the sink especially. There were some other playground areas too. After this we went to another garden area which was lovely and peaceful.

We also found the Walled Garden which was looking lovely and there was obviously a lot of work being put into it. From there we came round to a small playground suitable for little ones next to the splash pad which wasn’t on that day. My toddler enjoyed playing here. Time for an ice cream from the café and then home. I couldn’t believe all we had missed on the other visits. I think a membership is well worth it as each visit can be different exploring various areas.
