We took advantage of the offer Tattershall Farm Park had of £5 per person during January. At the reduced rate of £25 for our family of five that was good value. However, I feel that in the height of winter a reduction in price does seem reasonable for places like this as you do want to spend less time on the outside facilities and it’s less enjoyable being outside for a long time. I see Pink Pig Farm and Rand Farm Park were also running the same offer in January. We met up with extended family for this day out which was great. There was plenty to do here and we spent three and a half hours here. You could spend longer on a warmer day. We started by looking at the meerkats, playing on some of the outdoor equipment, and then the jumping pillows which were a big hit. There were two – one for little ones, and one for bigger kids. Our toddler soon got fed up of bouncing on his own and wanted to join in with the bigger kids on the big one!

After a while, we went into the indoor activity centre were we found a table to eat our picnic. There are a few different areas to play in there including a sand pit room and a toddler play area which our little one really enjoyed. There was also a cafe here which was pretty busy. It was selling stone pizzas and cakes among other things. There was a small toddler area within the cafe which would be great if you were sitting in there for a drink or food. We had a look around the animals in the barn and outside next. We’d bought four bags of food for £2.50. We enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep.

After this, the children were looking forward to going in the soft play. Our eldest loved looking after our toddler and the girls played together. The adults managed to have a rest and a conversation which was a treat! We finished off with another bounce on the pillows and a look in the gift shop. We would definitely return for a day out when the weather is warmer and make more use of the outdoor areas.
