I had a trip to Elsham Hall Gardens and Country Park during school time with my youngest and a friend and her little one. The children were both under three so were free to get in. It was £6.25 for adults. They also do season tickets. This was our second visit here and we have attended a wedding here a long time ago. It is a lovely, calm, and picturesque place. We started with a walk and went to see the carp lake. We enjoyed feeding them last time but this time an angry goose wouldn’t let us get too close! We walked around the lake and saw it from various views, really pretty.

There are a number of areas to look around including a landscaped garden and several birds and animals to see. The boys enjoyed this, and they loved running up the hill mounds! If you take your own lunch, there is a picnic area at which you can eat.

After our walk, we went to the adventure playground. This was a big hit with the children who especially loved the little houses. It also has slides, swings, and a basket swing. We spent quite a long time here and then headed to the tea room for lunch. The food here was delicious! Highly recommended. We went for the club sandwiches and they were really good. I often take a picnic to our days out to keep costs down but I’d be tempted to visit this tea room again. I saw they were doing afternoon teas so would be a good place to go for a treat.
