We’d been to Belton House a couple of times earlier in the year and had a really good time and we’ve been to a very similar Christmas lights display event at Stourhead when we lived in the South. It was quite expensive (over £80) but it was our main family Christmas activity so it felt worth it. Unfortunately, we had some rain but it didn’t rain the whole time which was something!

There were some really awesome displays which photographs just don’t really do justice to! They had music too which fit into the theme of the different displays. About half way around we saw Santa who had a chat with people as they passed. There was also stalls selling hot drinks and giant marshmallows with fire pits for you to roast them in. The kids loved this! We then carried on to the rest of the display. When we got to the lake there was a laser light display over the lake which was really lovely.

At the end you get to a courtyard with various food trucks selling hot dogs, chicken and chips etc and drinks. We did get food here as we were hungry and a bit cold by this point, however, it was pricey! You could take your own food to eat in the courtyard I believe but you would probably want to take something warm. Enjoyable evening, we will definitely go again.
